Work has started on the first phase of construction for our Taxiway Bravo project. This project will construct drainage improvements and eliminate wetlands along Bravo. This is an essential step in our larger Taxiway Bravo reconstruction project taking place over the next few years. This phase of the project immediately addresses drainage and flooding issues while reducing wildlife hazards in the area.
Work will take place in the infield areas between Runway 12L/30R and Taxiway Bravo, from Taxiway B3 to B7. As a result, Taxiways B4, B5, B6, and B7, between Bravo and Runway 12L/30R, will be closed for the duration of the project, with sections of Taxiway Bravo closed periodically. The project is estimated to take 30 days, restoring full operational capacity in mid-August.
If you’re traveling through KCPS, please monitor all applicable NOTAMs for the pavement closure information and be aware of ongoing pavement closures and construction activity along the Bravo corridor as work proceeds. If you have any specific operational concerns or questions, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs and minimize disruptions.
